Apply a b78 filter, not visible now but it will be obvious if the transponder is on.

They're just taking pish outta ya :p

    Yes we care, thank you.

Is this the second one to land at DUB? There was that Dreamliner tour thing a year or two back.

Unfortunately I can't go there now but if anyone finds out when's it leaving, when it does, could they post it here?

    Must plan ahead :p

I saw this last night (this morning) taxiing down towards Hangar 6.
Apparently its going in to have the face decal applied (Norwegian have the face of someone famous on their tails).
Its brand new, straight out of delivery and due to remain in DUB til Friday....

I believe it's leased from ILFC or some other company based here.

Not too sure who, can't check now.

Unfortunately yes! Taxiied past a Thomson 787 last week and the pointy end just ruins the look of it! From there back it's pretty but the nose just ruins it for me!

Both of have/had poor reputations at some point.

I agree the nose reminds me of the comet too. Both great looking aircraft to my eyes

Its a legal thing. If their register it in Norway then the crews have to be employed under Norwegian labour laws. By registering it in Ireland their can employ cheap Asian crew to operate their Norway-Asia flights and maintain a cost base equal to their Asian competitors.
....Apparently its going in to have the face decal applied (Norwegian have the face of someone famous on their tails).......
Norwegian have their tails decorated with the portraits of famous Scandinavians (Norway alone didn't provide enough faces for their whole fleet!!)

Agreed. Not that looks really mean anything to a passenger when you have to spend 5-12 hours stuck in the back of it but I reckon its a seriously ugly bird. Cool wings though.

Apparently the Fire Bird (Dreamliner) is going to be in the hangar until friday, but don't worry if you miss it as rumour has it there are plans for another four (or five) more to follow....
