    Hi!

So I saw the Cycle Against Suicide thing that happened. I love Bressie, so when I saw him doing it I was like "I want to start cycling again!" In May my aunt said I could have a lend of a bike from her. In July I actually got it and today (well, yesterday now) I got air in the tyres and a helmet! Some other people I like are cycling too so I want to be like them all. :)

I want to be fit and skinny. Simple as. If I could get medals for doing some events along the way, that'd be cool too. I like medals. Ooh, and I'd like to cycle from Malin to Mahon. It seems fun.

I'd say I took about 30-40 minutes (I forgot to check) to cycle 7 or 8km. Yay me! I know it's nothing but sure I have done little exercising in months because I put everything on hold for the leaving cert (including being healthy - boy will I never do that again!).

I actually hit "the wall" during my first lap of the park (somewhere between 1-2.5km) and I wanted to give up but I kept telling myself not to. Then I went to and as I left the park I crashed into the gate and cut my arm, so I took it as a sign to keep going.

Note: reminded to lower saddle. I'm sore from sitting on it (and it's the only place sore too!)

Note to you all: I ramble a bit sometimes, so sorry if this is rambley and not how I'm meant to go on.

Right so I cycled down to my Nanas today to get the saddle lowered. I cycled back as well obviously, so in total that was just under 10k. I'm not really sure if you can count it as cycling though, because I'm not pedaling the whole time. Ahhh well.

If you went 10k on a bicycle and you weren't being towed, pushed or carried then it definitely counts as cycling ;)

Haha, thanks! What if I cycled up a 5k hill and then sat back on the way down doing nothing? If I don't go flying would I not have only done 5k though? :P

I was meant to go cycling yesterday but my Mam said it was too dark. I was meant to go today but I'm literally almost dead as I'm so tired. Tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow.

Then you've definitely done 10K as you had to do the extra work to gain the height in the first place and the down-hill bit is your reward ;)

Now, if you get someone to drive you to the top of a big hill and free-wheel down from there, I think I'd have to agree with you on that one!

Good luck with the cycling, if you can do it regularly you'll improve very quickly.
