I am in NYC next week & was contemplating a trip out to Flushing Meadows to catch a match. Has anyone ever been/offer advice?

    Thanks

Have been there a few times. Great event. Well worth going.
Preferable to have tickets beforehand as queues on day are long. Arthur Ashe tickets not worth it as you will most likely end up a long way from action. Day tickets are great and give you access to all courts except aa. Night tickets for aa are separate.

Food is not cheap but you would not expect it to be. Great atmosphere especially when there is local interest to get the fans going.

Subway to/from manhattan is very simple and very efficient.
