It's hard to say looks like it has had a few changes over the years:D it could be a microplas they made a few winged boats and even used to race them on the liffey in the 50's and 60's I spotted this one a few years on the rocks at Poolbeg shame could be a nice boat.

I don't think they were big into fins in connemara back back in the day :D more likely someone got an old speed boat and cut it up to go crab fishing.

i see, well worth the 200 i paid for it,needs a bit of work when i pulled up the deck but actual body is sound

I'd say the deck was an add-on and not part of the original boat it's hard to see from the photo but it also seems to be missing any structural supports for the sides except for the wooden seat, the original seat and deck would have been moulded into the sides to stiffen them up and I'd say it also had a splash well. The transom looks to be for a short shaft 15" from top to bottom.

just light fishing,i have that thing taken of the bow it brings it back to it's original shape, well a bit and the deck up aswell,i have to replace some of the panels underneath the deck as some of them are rotten, any good boat glue ya would recommend,i do have 10 metres of fibre glass, hardener, reisin and gelcoat so not to bad for a start

Use the epoxy resin as a glue you can also coat any timber you use in it to waterproof it or mix some up with sawdust or thickener to make a paste to fill any holes or dings.

    .

the epoxy resin would be the gelcoat??

You would only use gelcoat when making a boat in a mould and it is made with epoxy resin mixed with a pigmented to match the colour of the boat, epoxy resin is used for wetting out fiberglass cloth or mesh and is also used for bonding or filling depending what you mix it with.
What is the name of the epoxy you have if it is pre mixed gelcoat it will be no good for wetting out fiberglass.

They are polyester resin and not epoxy resin, polyester will not stick well to epoxy resin or wood but epoxy will stick . Polyester is also not as water resistance as epoxy and can be more brittle it's used more by pro's in the business and is a lot harder to work with than epoxy.

I know you may not want to hear this but you might be better off cutting your losses on this one, just my opinion and not something I like to say. :(
