So I need to buy Office for a Windows 8 PC but it has to be a Business version so that I stay legal.

Last time I bought MS Office was years ago on a CD ROM...times have changed :(

I'll need Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Can someone advise me as to the version I should be getting?
This one or This one seem to be what I need (I'd prefer the download tbh) but can anyone advise the advantages of Office 365? I won't really need to access via SkyDrive or anything.

Before anyone says 'Hey try Open/LibreOffice' I'm already using that and while Write and Calc fit my needs perfectly The PowerPoint clone is sadly not as up to scratch as I need it to be, MS PPT is still better :(

Then get the "medialess" version. ;)

You'd be looking for the Small Business Premium edition (€10.40/month). You can use it on up to 5 devices.

Check out Office 365 for the consumer/small business. Very good value.

Office 365 Home Premium must not be used commercially.

Office 365 Small Business does not include the desktop version.

It all used to be so simple! :)

I prefer a desktop version of the software, I'm not interested in using it on multiple devices and I don't need 12 months free XBox Gold membership either :pac: Nor do I need SkyDrive. So with that in mind, I don't see the point of paying a yearly subscription.

I guess the medialess download is the one for me :) Thanks all.

    huh?

2013 Home Biz is the right choice. You still get 7GB of free SkyDrive space; plenty to store your office files.

Well I don't hang around. As much as I loved LibreOffice, for speed and efficiency as well as some extra features I really needed Office and thanks to the advice here I bought the download version today and it's installed and up and running perfectly :) Thanks again to all who replied.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the desktop installation is only available for Office 365 Small Business Premium and Midsize Business.
