NO, not for free. Daily rate on Marina and visitors fees on club moorings. If you have a boat you can afford to pay for a mooring :D

Talk to the harbour master and your insurance company :D a lot of the laws have changed in recent years.

If you tie up on the inner harbour wall in DL, you can be fairly confident your boat will be stripped of anything worth any money.

    I very much doubt it.

I can't quote chapter and verse, or the specific rules, but the whole harbour area is ruled by the DL Harbour Company which AFAIK also own (or have control over anyway) the marina.... we were informed by our club a few years ago that we were no longer allowed to tie up at our club pontoons overnight as there were plenty of marina berths available if required . At a daily visitors' charge, naturally.

Now, the clubs don't enforce this, but that's my understanding of the rules. I am, of course open to correction on this.

But I'd be very surprised if the Harbour Company allowed anything to happen within their bailiwick without charging through the nose for it

You could ring the Harbour Company (www.dlharbour.ie) and ask them.

ETA - I suspect the cheapest berthing you'll find in the Dublin area will be Poolbeg. I'm assuming Bulloch Harbour is private/full - anyone else know? And I think Coliemore is private.

We used to keep our boat in the marina, it's a private company, separate from the Harbour Office.
