Geese with pigs

I have two pigs in a run, about 30m x 30m with sheepwire & 2 strands of electric around, would this be suitable for a few geese, is fox proof enough ? Would piggy keep fox away ? Would geese get over sheepwire ?

I would feed the geese rolled barley & wheat, same as the piggys.

    Am I mad. ???

Geese can be quite territorial - so you very possibly could end up with a war of piggies vs geese!

Plus pigs will route up their ground leaving it bare - geese are primarily grazers ( I think roughly 2.5 adult geese = 1 sheep for grazing purposes)

Geese will eat grains but it is way cheaper to let them predominantly forage for grass / weeds - which they prefer and give them access to a pond for washing preening etc

Feed grains to the geese as a supplement or when grass growth stops and before final fattening

    Hope that helps

Look up Electric Fowl Fencing for containment if needed
