Anyone else get a letter from UCD this morning welcoming us to college? I've just read through the brochure, all this module stuff seems a bit complicated.

I thought I was the only one who struggled to understand it, but I guess it's one of those things that is easy to comprehend once you get your head around it...I hope! I look forward to being able to try two electives from any course; I'll probably be looking to do something to do with French and Chinese.

I can't wait to be getting these registration packs!!!

I emailed them the other day looking for a shneaky tip and apparently all of Merville has been renovated at this stage. Not sure about Belgrove though

And by them I mean UCD, of course :)

I'm tempted to email them and ask where the RA's will be living this year in Merville and Belgrove... try and get a house as far away from them as possible :D

Does anyone know the distance from Merville to the arts block? How long will it (roughly) take you to walk?

Has anyone set up their UCD email account yet and signed in? I got an email last night saying to do it after two working days? But then it said all emails from now on would be sent to that so I'm worried il miss the accomodation email?

I'm not a med student but I would think that it's the same for everyone, it was telling us how many modules and electives we would have to pick once we start.

but we don't have to pick anything until we actually arrive at UCD right ?

I set up mine there yesterday, just use your CAO number and date of birth ddmmyy to sign in and get everything set up, the only thing you can't do is start the registration process (that's not available til Thursday) but yeah you can log in anytime you want :) I'm fairly sure they send the accommodation email to both of your addresses but just to be sure.

Give yourself 10 minutes, takes slightly less but you'll need it to get in and get to the class itself. Most tutorials are upstairs too

Yeah that sounds good, what did you have in mind? Club or pub? Probably easier to get to know people in a pub since it's quiet enough to actually have a conversation :pac:
