    Pot.....kettle......black?

A perfect example where my blast them out of it with the horn and scare/intimidate them off the road strategies are apt.

They have no right to be there.

They are akin to pedestrians walking on the road when there's a path there.

Somewhat ironic you advocate such an immature response to a perfectly legal set of behaviours when your boards.ie id borrows from one of life's true gentlemen.

Maybe out of respect for the great man you'd either not spout such rubbish or if you'd like to continue doing so, then change your alias so his name is no where near being associated with something he would never do on his absolute worst day.........just a thought.

Uh no. In law the primary obligation and "consideration" placed on road users is to avoid injury, both personal and to others, and to avoid damage to property, including personal property.

Road users may not be reckless of their own safety or that of their property.

It therefore follows that cyclists cannot be expected to use "cycle facilities" that create additional risk to person or property.

If a motorist cannot adjust their behaviour to account for another road user who is avoiding an obvious hazard, in this case dodgy cycle lanes, then arguably that motorist should not be using roads provided at public expense.

Maybe Jack has never seen a car or a bus blocking a cycle lane, or pedestrians walking in them

I think motorists must have a different definition of "showing consideration." As a cyclist, anytime a motorist suggests I show them consideration it involves great inconvenience and occasionally danger to me just so the average speed of their journey is not decreased by a small fraction of a kph.

I think I preferred Jack when he was playing rugby.

Maybe all the contact has diminished his senses..

Rumour has it no one ever got near Jack! A Frenchman once got a hand on his jersey, but because it was in Jack's bag after the game, that was deemed not to count.

Personally, I think when 'our' Jack Kyle was putting his boards.ie identity together he got confused - this was the J. Kyle he meant to style himself on.......
