My mam has cancer and just had surgery. I'm supposed to be going to college this September but that's when my mam starts chemo and as its just the two of us in the house , I feel I'm gonna have to stay with her. I'm only 20 and never had a full time job because I've been in college. Will I be entitled to carers allowance? Or anything?

The first thing you need to do is defere your place in college if this is th road your going. As for applying for carers allowence, the road is long and th waiting period longer, you could do with speaking with your mams doctors on this. My sister in law never qualified and her mam has cancer and the dad a stroke.
