    http://www.vaperus.ie/innokin/331-itaste-vv-v30.html

Has anyone gotten one of these yet.

I need new batteries and I don't want to get Egos again because:

    You need a seperate charger.
You have no idea when the battery is about to run out.
The voltage dial on the twists is a pain in the bum.
I've had to repair them more than once as my T2 got a little tight on the top and the button piece screwed out with it.

These itastes have variable voltage AND variable wattage, along with an LCD screen and they can charge by mini-USB!

They can also work with pass-through and have a built in ohm-meter! No more fiddling with my multi-meter!

They seem awesome, has anyone tried one?

Nope, but if I was starting out again I'd get one instead of an ego along with a bunchof iClear 16s and spare coils.

I have a bunch of ego batt's and none of them last very long, I like the twist, but as I mostly use VW now on my Vamo, I'd prefer that option on a slim device too. I might actually get one to have for out and about vaping in place of the twist.

Since I need two batteries, I think I'm going to get one of these for at home, then a standard ego 650mah for out and about. I got a lend of a battery and I know it's about to run out of charge, a pass through feature would be a blessing.

Here's a review on the iTaste V3 for anyone who's interested:

Just ordered one here too. I don't have any pass-through device. Will be handy when sat at the laptop for hours, as I often am.

    Grimm loves it too btw;

I've a ton of stuff to buy so it'll be two weeks before I get mine, will you let me know how you find it?

I got one from fasttech about a month ago, great device. It's a small bit bigger than a 650 twist, but it's 800mah and has the vw wizardry...

Only downside for me is the button is only a three click on\off. It's seems to be turning on in my pocket constantly, never happens me with egos...

Have to add, them iclear 16's are the best clearos I've tried bar none. Not a dry hit in the house...

If you just want the battery, fasttech don't have anything that will beat vaperus price of 29 euro do they?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,715 ✭✭✭Gryzor

Not sure, just linked to it for reference...Price on vaperus is good, was surprised when I saw it..

Fasttech kit is more inline with the e-smoke one..

    Any news?

Only just got it today, stuck an iClear 16 filled with some refresher juice on it and it's working nicely, as expected. It's the first 'square' barrel batt I've had, and it's surprising the difference. Don't have to worry about it rolling away when I leave it down :D It feels nice in hand. Got it attached to the usb atm, pass through works with no issues.

Since I always use VW, for me personally, it's nicer, and better than the ego twist. You pay double, but you're getting that option, the LCD info and pass through on top. I think it's worth it.

I got the €29 option on Vaperus. I already have plenty of clearo's to go with.

One very important question; what colour did you go for? I'm thinking of chrome, but the pearl bit makes it sound a bit "metrosexual" for my liking.

I haven't one myself Fred, but that chameleon colour looks awesome.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,756 ✭✭✭Thecageyone

I got the chameleon, by mistake tbh :D I didn't change the selection for colour. But it looks fine, I like it. Would have opted for black. The Chameleon has a kind of glitter effect under the coating, makes it look almost metallic.

I can tell you, neither of my Vamos have been touched since I got it ;)

    It's great.

Doing out my budget here and it will be the 2nd week in september before I can get one :( It's definitely on the list though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 198 ✭✭Gillian72

I just ordered one of these!!!! :D I'm so excited!!! :D The chameleon colour was sold out, so I got Pearl. I got the smaller kit with just the "iTaste V3" and charger. I would have loved to get the bigger kit with the "iClear16" clearomizers, but I decided to get the smaller kit. Therefore I had cash left over to buy e-liquid. :)

I hope it arrives before the weekend! I can't wait to try it out. Although, I won't know what to do with it when I get it! I've never used VV or VW before, but it looks easy enough to use. I think......

I've noticed my eGo K batteries aren't staying charged as long anymore. At first I thought it was coz the batteries were wearing out, but then I realized that I've had my e-cig stuck in my gob 24/7 since I found a few flavours that I like! (Thanx Dublin CJM!!! :) )

I've been off the cigarettes seven & a half weeks! YAY!!! I've been vaping a LOT more over the last three weeks, I'm going through bottles of e-liquid! I'm hoping the novelty will wear off soon, I hope to cut back on the amount I vap. But with e-liquids as gorgeous as "Vanilla Custard," "El Toro VP" "Wingnuts RY-C9" and "VMist 5 Star" its impossible to stop vaping.......

I ordered a small bottle of "Wingnuts Apple Sin" today to see what its like. Has anyone tried it? Is it nice? Since I found the few flavours that I like I've been sticking with them. So, I decided to get a bit adventures today by ordering the "Apple Sin." I love fruit in real life, but so far I haven't liked any of the fruit e-liquids besides the "VMist Mystic Lemon." So I really hope I like the "Apple Sin!"

I can't wait to get my iTaste V3!!!!!!!! :D YIP~EEEeeeeeeeeee...!!!!!!!!! :D Quitting cigarettes is the best thing that I have ever done! E-cigs are much more exciting!

That is great value seen as 4 clearomizers are included. It works out at around €30.15. I've heard that the iClear16's are really good, I'm hoping to order one next week. I wonder if a dual coil uses up more e-liquid then a normal coil?

Was the postage from the US expensive?

How long did it take from when you ordered it to when it arrived?

    :)

They're a decent clearo alright. I got a couple with the mvp a few months ago and tried them out. They run pretty hot and drink juice but they perform better than any other clearo that I've ever tried.

You can get it without the clearos for around 19euros, fasttech are in China and delivery is free but it could take a month to get to you.
I have stuff on the way from them, I ordered it two weeks ago and im still waiting.

The big chunk of why fastech are cheaper is there isnt 23% tax on them, which you may or may not get caught with when it lands here. Customs seem to be catching on to them I know a few people now who have been caught.
Also you have to send it back there if it goes wrong

I'm not touching them again. I waited over 3 weeks for a Vamo V3 and it's a bit of a dud.

I'd rather pay a little more, have it on time, and know that if I have any issues, the guys that sold it are only a message away.

Yeah, I'd hate to have to wait weeks for my order. Also, I'd be worrying about customs the whole time......

Ok, so I ordered my http://www.vaperus.ie/innokin/331-itaste-vv-v30.html and it arrived to-day! Really speedy delivery from Vaperus! Thank-you! :D

The iTaste looks gorgeous, very fancy. But I haven't figured out how to use it yet? I got two new coils for my Kanger MT3. One 1.8 - 1.0 resistance and one 2.4 - 2.6 resistance. But I don't know which one to use? I've been hours on the internet reading about omh's, VV and VW and I'm still none the wiser.

Am I over thinking this? Is it ok to just use either one of the coils and then mess around with the settings till I find one I like? Or will I blow my new e-cig up?

Working out omh's, VV & VW is like a complicated maths class.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 351 ✭✭Vaperus

Just start on a lower voltage and increase it until you find a level you like. If you want to do the maths simple formulas
    P
    I V

    and
    V
    I R

    V Volts, P Power(Watts), I Current(Amps), R Resistance (Ohms)
Using the two above you cover up the one you want.
    So P = I x V
    I = P/V or I = V/R etc

using Vw gives you a constant Wattage VV gives you a constant Voltage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 877 ✭✭✭jamie72

You'll know if the volts are too low and you aren't getting enough vapour, you'll conversely know very quickly if they are too high and you can taste burning.

The lower resistance coils will take less voltage then the higher resistance ones. Don't over think it.

EDIT: See Vaperus has given a nice detailed explanation, again, if you don't understand don't worry about it. Just try it, you aren't going to damage anything. The worst you could do is burn the **** out of one of the i16 heads, but you should notice the taste long before you do that. Start at the low end of the voltage and move up until you're happy.

Is itaste 3v much longer than an ego 650mah? Can someone take a picture of two of them together please? I like the size of ego but if itaste is not much longer id get one of them for work:)

1.8-2.0 is a low resistance - it's said to produce a 'warmer' vape and more vapour too. It's not really recommended on small batteries such as a 510 (cig-a-like) or on say a 350mah mini eGo but that hasn't stopped me :)
Low res is what most people seem to prefer on their VW's and mods so it's perfect for Twists and iTaste's.

2.4-2.6 is a standard resistance and if you're never really sure which to go for, go for this ohm range.

So, both are perfectly fine for your new iTaste, you most definitely will not blow it up. Always start with a low setting and puff away for a bit then increase your wattage gradually, to see which best suits whatever resistance clearomizer you're using. If starting to taste burnt, lower the watts/volts.

The 650mah ego twist is 97mm long and the iTaste 800mah is 99mm long. I really want one, but I find that hard to be true? Especially with all the stuff that's packed in.

Just to contrast that, lower resistance heads are for smaller batteries where you can't adjust the voltage. Higher resistance heads give you more of a range with bigger, variable batteries.

Yeah, no-one can explain better to a woman than another woman!

I asked the same questions about VV, VW & omh's over on ECF and people where really helpful, but I hadn't a clue what they were talking about. They were explaining omh's law etc.

I know I'm gonna have to learn all that stuff eventually. But for now I just wanna know how to make my iTaste taste nice! So thank-you CSI for your clear and simple advice. :)

Its a pity that e-liquids have to be steeped. I had run out of e-liquids so I got new ones today. But they just don't taste as nice when their not steeped. I read somewhere that if you put e-liquid in a bowl of hot water for a while and then shake the bottle for ages then that it speeds up steeping. So, I tried it but it didn't make much of a difference, maybe I didn't leave it in the hot water for long enough? Or maybe I didn't have the water hot enough? I was afraid I'd melt the bottle. I also read that putting e-liquid in the microwave speeds up steeping. But That sounds way too dodgy to me, I don't wanna be left with a melted lump of plastic........

What I need to do is stock up and buy a load of e-liquid in advance, but since losing my job I'm broke. So, I can only buy a weeks supply at a time. I wanna a new job!!! Boo~whooooo.....!!! Although on the bright side I would never have given up smoking if I hadn't lost my job! :) Every cloud has its silver lining and all that! ;)

Anyway, I have my iTaste up and running! There are clouds of vapor coming off it! I'm still messing around with settings, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. I can really notice a big difference between the eGo K and the iTaste V3.

Its great the way the Irish e-cig venders post the stuff out so quickly. I ordered the iTaste from Vaperus yesterday and it was here to-day!!!! :) And I ordered e-liquid from e-smokeireland yesterday and that was here to-day as well! Really great service from both Irish companies. Why would anyone need to shop elsewhere?! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,756 ✭✭✭Thecageyone

I don't have a tape measure to hand, but the iTaste is just a tad longer than a 650mah twist, no way it's as short as a regular 650. It's shorter than a standard 900mah though.

Some do, depends on the individual really. I never waited to use them - I just got stuck in so in a way I have an advantage in that I don't actually know the taste difference between steeped and non.
Some liqs really do need it though.

It really is important to be stocked up on liquid, its fine getting hold of an 'emergency' bottle at the last minute but as soon as you can start collecting!
On the same note as steeping for example I have a 100ml of Ry4 from Bargainvapour, which some find needs steeping but I find it lovely, straight off.
Try a few varieties from there, I'm sure you know they're just 13.99 and get hold of a few nic-free juices to add a couple of drops to improve any flavour you're not so fond of - vanilla to sweeten, coffee or tobacco to unsweeten for example.

Once you've built up a little stash of liquids you can relax and enjoy experimenting with different combinations.

Always try and have a fall back.
It's what will keep you from sneaking off to buy 'just the one packet' of cigarettes.

Gillian, are you using this with your MT3?

Yep, I'm using my Kanger MT3 with the Itaste V3. Why, is that not a good idea?

I'm gonna get a few iClear16's next week, I'd say they go well with the Itaste. A lot of people seem to love the iClear16.

I'm also gonna try the mini BCC, the e-cig shop in town is after getting them in. I've heard really good things about them.

So far I've found that I got the best flavour from the Ce4 V3. The Ce4 V3 also gave a lovely warm vapor on my normal eGo battery. The Kanger MT3, the E-Vod & the Vivi Nova give LOADS of vapor, but I think the flavour is much better from the Ce4 V3. If only I could find one that did both! I haven't tried half of the stuff thats available yet. There is so much to choose from! :)

I love the T3s, just curious how you find it on the itaste.

E-smoke do a T5 which is kanger's version of the CE4. I find it a bit temperamental, but it gives a lovely flavour.

Hi Fratton Fred! :) I'm probably not the best person to ask coz I'm quite new to e-cigs. I'll be 8 weeks off cigarettes tomorrow, so I'm chuffed about that! :D But it seems that I still have a LOT to learn about VV & VW, coz I'm just not getting it......

I have been using my iTaste V3 since Friday and yes I really like it. So far I haven't notice any great advantage to the VV & VW settings. It doesn't seem to make that much of a difference to my vaping experience, but that could be coz I'm doing it wrong.....

I've been setting my iTaste at the lowest VV and then working up through the settings one at a time and then I do the same with the VW. But I have to be honest, I don't notice any huge difference between settings. The vapor does get a bit warmer as I go up the setting and if I go too high then the e-liquid doesn't taste as nice, but thats about it.

I haven't noticed much difference between the iTastes V3 & my eGo K battery? But this could be because I'm setting the VV & VW completely wrong? I've tried my Kanger MT3, my Ce4 V3 & my Vivi Nova on the iTaste & I've tried several different flavoured e~liquids. I love all those tanks anyway, especially the Ce4 V3. I've found that I don't like the lower Voltage coz there is a little less vapor & less warmth, but I'd imagine most people feel the same way about lower Voltage? I like it set at around 8 Volts, but I'm still messing around with different settings.

The iTaste V3 does look really good, its an impressive looking e-cig. And it is REALLY handy that I can charge it off my laptop & vap at the same time! :) Also I think the iTaste is a good price. €29 is affordable. One slightly negative point is that the iTaste battery life doesn't last as long as my eGo K, but I make sure to have a spare battery with me all the times. So its no big deal.

To sum it up the things I really like about my iTaste V3 is 1) It looks great! 2) I can charge it and vap from it at the same time. The thing I don't like is 1) the battery doesn't last as long as my eGo K.

So far I'm just not getting what the big deal is about VV & VW? I'd read so much about it that I thought it was gonna make a huge difference, but I don't notice a massive difference. But thats probably coz I'm doing it wrong, so I'm gonna read up more on VV, VW & omh's until I sus it out.......

All in all I do really like my iTaste V3 and I'm glad I got it. I'm gonna pop into the e-cig shop in Marys Street during the week and ask the lads who own the shop to show me how to use VV & VW. I've found the two guys in that shop really helpful any time that I've had any questions about vaping.

I will master VV if its the last thing that I do! Muhahahaha! ;)

But it seems that I still have a LOT to learn about VV & VW, coz I'm just not getting it......

I've found that I don't like the lower Voltage coz there is a little less vapor & less warmth, but I'd imagine most people feel the same way about lower Voltage?

So far I'm just not getting what the big deal is about VV & VW? I'd read so much about it that I thought it was gonna make a huge difference, but I don't notice a massive difference. But thats probably coz I'm doing it wrong, so I'm gonna read up more on VV, VW & omh's until I sus it out.......

Okay, in VV mode, if you have a 2.4ohm atomiser handy, start at 3.3v. That's the vape that all the early ecigs put out at the start. Very weak.

Now bump that up to 4.4v and that should be the 8watt vape that you prefer. Much better. More of everything. With rebuildables you can edge higher with the wattage without things getting burnt tasting.

Where the wattage mode (VW) matters is if you have atomisers with different resistances. If you have the battery set to 8w, the atty will be fired at the correct voltage by the battery whether it's a 1.8ohm or a 3ohm atty, no need to change a setting. That's why a lot of people like VW, supposedly less fiddling with the voltage (although many just end up fiddling with the wattage because different flavours are better at different wattages anyway, like Orange de Sangre gets sickly over 8watts on a coil but Puros Naturales is good up to 10-11watts for me).

Yes Grindle you are right, 4.4 is a better setting! I was a bit afraid to put the voltage up too high, but when I go straight from 3.3 to 4.4 I really do notice a difference. I'll get the hang of this eventually! :)

VW is where I stay 99% of the time. The difference is, in VW mode, you don't have to do anything really. Set it to your preferred level and no matter the tank you put on, it should do the rest itself. In VV mode, you'll be changing constantly.

If you didn't notice any difference from a regular ego batt, then you were not upping the voltage or wattage near enough. My Itaste blows any of my ego batt's, even the twists, away. I always find VV so hit and miss. I'm not sure if they're all put together different or what, but anything over 4V on my twist is in danger of burning. Whereas I can vape away at 11W on the itaste. Wattage mode just feels right to me, being so used to the Vamo. I don't 'get' fully the calculations, and ohm's law etc ... I just set it where it seems to work best for me personally.

I got mine the other day. The VW mode seems to be gone. Only get VV mode now. Will give them a shout and send it back :(

    Was loving the VW too!

How does the itaste compare to the vamo vapewise? My evic just decided to stop working and i now have no vw device, thinking of getting one as they're cheap.

Pretty much same when set at the same VW level. I only use iClear 16s on mine, so far at least. And they deliver a great vape. Only thing is they seem to drain out quicker than other tanks [like the evod]. They are dual coil, might be that, but I do find I'm filling them more regularly.

I had to buy a second itaste as my missus kept swiping mine. her pink ego twist not good enough any more ... grrr. Got her a white one so she'd stop pestering me, and she loves it too.

I am really tempted to pick up one of these as an out and about pv.

Anyone know what the minimum resistance limit is? Usually either 1.0 or 1.2 ohms, would be interested to know.

I can't remember, but it's mentioned in the pbrussardo video on Youtube. I believe it doesn't do well at low resistances anyway, it's not really a device for dual coils or anything like that.
