The error code C0000034 appears. I completed a system restore to an earlier date, however it has not worked.Any ideas and suggestions would be very much appreciated ! thank you

a complete clean instal?

Do you have any previous updates that maybe failed installing? Uninstall them all and try then.

Can you install updates directly from Microsofts website?

Have you tried uninstalling security essentials, rebooting and then reinstalling security essentials from scratch?
