    Just a quick question.

I have this protein powerder for sometime. But i was reading of late that its not a very good protein to be taking because its based on Soybean. Thinking of ditching it.

If the question is ditch it, the answer is yes.

Why are you using this anyway? If you are vegan you can use Brown rice protein, hemp protein, pea protein or blends example, Sun Warrior.

If you just don't like dairy you could use Carnivore beef protein or egg protein.

Or if you just got soy protein for some mad reason and eat everything you can go with Whey/casien proteins.

I have other proteins & no im not a vegan.
I bought it cause it had very high protien like around 90% or a little bit more. It taste is bad but i can get over that. But was just reading on line that soybean has what some users say health issues. It also has health benifits which the companys go on about, but fail to mention the health negatives.

I could not belive what i was reading and was not sure if its just a load of bull, but maybe after all they are telling the truth.

Read a lot of talk about health issues too but in digging about I couldnt actually find anything credible to back them up. Few misreported figures about estrogen increase or something that got media traction and some concern over the process of making soy protein isolate. But no actual studies to show that soy protein is a health risk.

Open to correction on that btw as I use soy protein myself and wouldnt want to die a slow and painful death. But as far as I'm concerned as it stands I dont see any reason to stop using it. Although I might try the likes of brown rice/pea protein next time I buy.

Its kind of scared me to be honest. And im the kind of person who would eat just about anything. I think its when you get older your start to worry more about what you eat, well in this case i have.

Google "health issues *insert food stuff*" and you'd likely get horror stories about everything else too. I'd say once you start looking at anything in fine detail you're gonna over analyse and emphasis its positive and negative attributes. I personally try to find the healthiest option I can but I'm not gonna panic and worry about whatever the fear mongers are whinging about on a particular day, white bread, eggs, butter, pasta, soy, sugar, processed crap all been touted as the downfall of humanity at times. I lived on crap all my life, I didnt die, I dont have any disease or major health issues. Its just a difference between living healthy or not so healthy.
