    Hi All,

I am considering doing this course and I'm hoping somebody that's done it can give me their feedback. What was the course like? Is it a good foundation to a career in the health and fitness industry, or are there better alternatives? Are there any grants available for this specific course?

I won't ask how difficult it was getting a job in Ireland on completion as I know the market is flooded at the moment so couldn't be easy. However if anyone has info on gaining employment in the industry outside Ireland it would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Similarly if anyone has taken the Sports Science Full time course in Potrobello, the same info would be very much appreciated.

From my highly biased position as head tutor on the course - you'd be CRAZY not to at least consider leisure industry academy.

If you want to be a real trainer and not just a position filler in the gym you won't get a better course

I have a friend who did a social studies related course and the qualification she received afterwards was nothing but a piece of worthless paper! Just be careful to ask the exact qualification and make sure it is recognised by reputable organisation.

    Best of luck

Portobello are nothing but cowboys in my experience with them! Listen to Hanley, LAI are the best around, wont be a year long and Hanley teaches excercise to music....comedy at it's finest!
