    Hi There,
Has anyone any experience of kinesiology tape. I have 2 partial rotator cuff tears and my physio has strapped it for me using the tape, I don't feel any benefit from it, still have pain on the top of shoulder & in my shoulder blade, down my arm as far as my elbow & up my neck, am not due back to the pyhsio for a week, should I perservere with it or remove it. Anyone got any advice / experience of this injury. Just a bit of backround info, the injury was a result of a car accident, and I drove for the first time in 4 weeks and found my shoulder was very painful for a few days after driving,I am currently on sick leave as my job involves lifting & is physical.

    any advice would be appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about the tape stuff.

It's going to take a long time to heal form an injury like that. Just stay positive and make sure to do the exercises your physio gives you.

    I would swear by them
Always taping my knee for long cycles
Get a good physio to do it first time and talk you through tho

Is this what your physio is telling you or have you had this confirmed by MRI or ultrasound??

My physio put the tape on me last year. I'd had a bad blow to my leg just under my knee and bruised it right down to the bone. They were doing infra red and ultra sound and were struggling to clear the last of it (haemotoma really deep or something) so they tried putting tape on and leaving it on for the week. made a huge difference! Not only did the leg hurt less but after two more sessions with the tape left on in between it was all sorted.
