Firstly, some people prefer to eat smaller meals and snack between them instead of large meals three times a day, nothing wrong with it as long ad overall their diet is balanced.

Secondly, obviously the op doesn't know if it is healthy or not which is why he is asking the question.

I think those bars would be healthier than a biscuit or a shop bought cereal bar. However they are very calorie dense and very high in sugar from the dates and the banana. They aren't particularly bad for you, but it depends what your looking for.

If I am hungry and want something just to pick at I choose carrot sticks, peppers, celery etc..

If I have a craving for something sweet I choose dark chocolate.

Personally I would rather not 'waste' my calories on bars such as these, but would rather eat a larger dinner or lunch.

    Hi All.

I'm looking for something to make that I can snack on during meals.

    I seen this http://www.thekitchn.com/healthy-snack-recipe-5-ingredi-156571

would it do the job ?

I'm curious as to what makes you think it wouldn't be healthy.
It's all non processed fresh ingredients, the signs of healthy food.

It's a little high in sugar, but if you limit sugar in your diet then a little sugary snack every now and then is no harm.

there' is not much in the way of protein per bar, but again, that only matters regarding the rest of your diet and goals.

on it's own as part of a balanced diet this snack, like most things, can be healthy.

But healthy isnt black and white. This snack is healthy, but 3 of them a day is not.
Healthy is not defined by individual food choices, but your whole diet. Which is why I ask why do you think it's not healthy.

Limit the sugar in the rest of your day and you can occasionally eat these with no worries, just remember to keep your whole diet varied, balanced and healthy.
