Advice on laptops?

    Hey guys, starting Uni in September and looking to get a new laptop for it.
    Currently I have a Packard Bell, and I want to get a smaller one to bring with me and not have to lug around a big one..

    Desirably, something small and light, around 13-14" and not too heavy. Looking to spend about 500, but can probably be stretched a bit.

    Mainly will be used for Word, PowerPoint, surfing the web, streaming videos and watching DVD's.

    Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. :):confused:
