    Honestly I dont know...

But you might try amazon.co.uk and read the user reviews, those can be enlightening as regards specific models.

We're in the US and bought the kind with the resevoir that seperates out the waste from the juice. Absolutely love it and use it multiple times a day. Cleaning can be a chore though.

The other kinds that dont produce waste are suposed to be better for you but I dont know whether there's more prep work to peel fruit or get rid of seeds? Not sure.

I do know that they need to be sturdy and I think i'd want to spend more and get something Heavy duty if you know what I mean.

I have a similar thread in the food section, but have gotten no replies, so I have decided to try here.

I am starting a new diet that will consist of smoothies and cauliflower mash, amongst other things.
These will both require a food processor and/or a smoothie maker. My question: Will a decent food processor be able to do the 2 jobs above, or should I buy 2 separate appliances?

Would this do as a food processor and smoothie maker:

    My budget is about e60.

    Thanks

I make smoothies in my food processor. The appliance you link has a blender so that is the same as a smoothie maker.

It's not a juicer. a juicer is different. A juicer squeezes out the juice and separates it from the pulp. The blender blends the whole lot so you get a very "solid" drink.

I prefer the smoothies I make in the blender. (i have a juicer too, never use it, it's huge, pain in the ass to clean and if you really want no bits just sieve the drink).

The food processor you link is ok, but if your budget is 60 then get a better one. look for a higher than 500 watts

I got a similar model to this one a few weeks ago:

    and it works fine.
Ill make a smoothie/milkshake/icecream/salad dressings a few times a week as well as using it to occasionally slice veggies.
