Hello , I have a crossbite and my dentist told me to see an orthodontist , I've been reading about the Advanced Lightwire Functionals as I can't afford the costs quoted for conventional braces and my job won't allow me to have my speech impeded by them. I want to expand my arches with a night time appliance and not have any teeth removed. Can anybody recommend an orthodontist in Dublin who works with the ALF?.

What you want and what will work are two different things, go to a orthodontist first and do the Internet research after you know what's required. Braces don't impede your speech. Alf cost just as much as conventional braces. Alf is a littlei..."out there"...and make impressive claims without ever having been adopted by the mainstream, take from that what you will, and remember my advice to you last year when you were self prescribing treatment..http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=80096538

I'm going to go with a Schwartz 3d expander for the upper arch with possible work on the lower jaw later on as with a tooth already extracted there's room to move the teeth back. The orthodontist I went to seemed very knowledgable and I just can't afford to crazy prices quoted for braces. He does braces too but said that while it's more profitable for him the expander device is all I need , I'm not looking for a Hollywood smile. It's also a fraction of the cost of the train tracks.

Indeed, somebody who has seen your teeth can advise you best.
