GARDAÍ HAVE LAUNCHED a nationwide alert to trace the whereabouts of a father and his two sons who have gone missing.
Sanjeev Chada, 43, and his two children, Eoghan age 10 and Ruairí age 5 were reported missing at 1.30am today from Ballinkill, Bagnalstown in Carlow.
The father left the family home at 6.30pm on Sunday night with the two children and was believed to be going to the Dome Bowling Centre in Carlow town. He has not been in contact with anyone since leaving the home.
Sanjeev Chada is driving a green Ford Focus with the registration number 06 CW 238. He is described as being 6 feet fall with shoulder length hair, and was wearing blue Levi jeans, a maroon Tommy Hilfiger polo shirt and brown leather slip-on shoes.
Eoghan, his older son, is described as being 4’10″, of medium build and with black shoulder length hair. He was wearing navy Canterbury tracksuit bottoms, a dark top, a red Ferrari baseball cap and black Adidas runners with multi-coloured sides when he was last seen.
5-year-old Ruairi is described as 3’10″ with short black hair and brown eyes. He has a slight scar above his right eye. He was wearing a red and white Middlesborough football jersey when he went missing, with grey Nike tracksuit botoms, a maroon hoodie, and white Ferrari runners with a velcro strap and a yellow logo.
Gardaí have asked anyone with information to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 913 6620 or any Garda Station.

I expect the usual AH response but someone might see them and you dont know what could happen to this man and his children.

Hopefully they will be found safe and well, and that this does not turn into another tragedy.

I'm not really sure what would possess you to post something like that in this thread but I've snipped it anyway.

Let's leave the horrific comparisons/speculations out of it please.

    Thread stickied.

This is the first formal use of a Child Rescue Ireland alert (CRI) by the Gardaí

I hope the media get the word out about this case quickly (in a sensible manner)
    NOTE TO EDITORS:
We request that the media would immediately issue this Alert for the information
of the public and include in your on line communications as appropriate.

Well done to the OP for posting the thread, and to the Mods for being quick to sticky it. Fingers crossed there is good news soon.

    That's heartbreaking. Those poor boys.
There is nothing worse than children being hurt when they rely on us adults to protect them.

Again, keep the speculation out of it. There are absolutely no details yet on what happened.

No further warnings will be given.

Very very sad, as a father to three young kids it really hits home. I seen the notices on all of the M50 traffic displays today. First time I have seen something like this on them but a great idea. Poor poor kids. Such a cruel world out there.

    RIP

This is the first CRI Alert there has been since it came into effect. Brilliant idea, Irish Rail and everything tweeted the details.

Such a sad outcome for this one though :( Poor kids. Father is helping with investigation apparently he wasn't injured in the crash.

(Just editing the name of the alert, it's a CRI (Child Rescue Ireland) Alert that they put out.)

Can't wait to hear the outcome of this. Meant to be going to the Dome and ends up in Mayo after ending contact with his family.

Updates in the OPs links - the father was in a crash, he's injured.

    Poor wee things :(

Wonder what helping means? So he wasn't trying to end them and himself? Could have been a botched job like yet man with the train.

They'd be more fragile. More likely to take the big hits on the impact.

Saw the ambulances and squad cars rushing out the quay earlier today, but had no idea what was going on. Just assumed it was an accident of some kind. Terribly sad. :(
