Rhodiola rosea, correct doasage?

    Hi., I've just started taking rhodiola on the recommendation of a friend. For her it seems to increase concentration and focus, and also lift her mood. I've seen these changes in her, so decided to give it a shot myself. I started taking 250mg in the morning 3 days ago but feel really tired. Is this normal and is it just an adjustment period? Any other users out there? What are your experiences with this herb?

    I've taken it in the past, usually over the Winter for same reasons your friend takes it.
    I was only thinking I need to probably get back on it as the mood is low (unusually so for this time of year for me, but am blaming minor personal stress). Dosage I can't remember for sure, brand was Viridian.
    I think it took about a month to kick in, it was not immediate anyway.
    Also it was more a gradual improvement rather than overnight fix, if that makes sense.
    Cannot remember any tiredness but to be honest any tiredness would have been normal for me at the time.

    Thanks for the advice Aimeee, I've tried it initially, and then tried a general adaptogen but went back to it. I think your right, it creeps up on you.
