It was equally likely to happen in any European country and not just Italy. Ireland's population is 20% foreign born(although a lot of Irish people were born abroad) but yet not a single senior figure in government or in government body is a non national

Sure most tds are school teachers, no non national school teachers = little chance of non nationals making it into government.

You've got to laugh at their stupidity all the same. I mean what exactly is the message that they're trying to convey.. that she's somehow subhuman?

She's a successful & wealthy doctor and politician, and they're flinging fruit like dribbling idiots.

Maybe they were concerned about her potassium levels.

I met an Italian opera singer who swore up and down that I must sing like Aretha Franklin. He kept badgering me to sing with him. He then shimmied at me. Shimmied!

It was racist making her integration minister, like she would be best at that because of her colour.
Same in Sweden, the first black minister - Nyamko Sabuni, was also integration minister.
"You're black, let's make you minister for integration. Sorry, Finance, Defence and Transport were already taken..."

She has years of experience and expertise on matters relating to integration and cooperation, she set up an association promoting integration in 2002.. it would be absurd to assume that she was given the responsibility simply because of her skin colour.

Steddyeddy is in Italy. Must be on his hols. Show-off. In other news, quite a few Italians are rascists, I've yet to meet one that isn't actually and I grew up surrounded by them. If you're not a home grown Roman, you're dirt.. My mums from roscommon, she regards italians as "bloody foreign deigos", so I suppose it all balances out... everyone hates everyone on some level, for no great reason that anyone can explain to me.

They laid rose petals in front of Matteo Messina Denaro's BMW 'Baby Mafia' as his cavalcade rolled into Palermo when he was made head of La Cosa Nostra. He made peace with the Camorra and 'Ndrangneta and solidified the different groups in a tetchy union.

That's more important to Italians than anything else, they respect the bad guy. To some the bigger bad guy is the state. They've given up on their country because of these fcuking scumbags. The 'Systema' is another name for the Camorra in the Campania region, The System that you just have to accept.

Maybe they just dont like a non Italian coming in and trying to change the laws to ensure the country is more easily over run with boats from north Africa ?

Devils advocate but i dont blame them be better off politcaly defeating her plan though like ireland changed that very law shes trying to introduce (or wants to)

I thought that referred to the eyes. Do you think anyone with a darker pigmentation is some form of negroid more than you might be because as they say ultimately we are all of afrika right

I bet my eyes are bluer than you. Or anyone's, for that matter

No shes not she was born in the congo seems most every thing she has done so far since going to italy when she was around 20 is to benefit her own people or non Italians in Italy a country that is not hers now she wants to go one more and make it easier for her own people or non Italians to gain citizenship in italy.

I can see why she is an easy target she seems very self serving im not sympathetic to her plight or cause tbh

....the usual mickey. She's an Italian citizen, so yes the country is "hers" now. She was originally from the Congo. If she has sympathy with those who were in her position, that's hardly suprising - its not something unique to either Africans or Italy.
