Theories that you just don't believe

It's been said that the average person eats about 8 spiders in their sleep during their lifetime. But depending on who you ask, that figure has been put at a low as 4 and as high as 40. I think the whole theory is a crock of shit. If it were true, people would regularly wake up with spiders in their mouths and throat that didn't quite make it the full journey and you would also occasionally find dead spiders on your pillow that were squished by you turning over.

Yep the spider would obviously realize the air going in and out. Do people not realise that these are things that stop moving when you look at them, but will scuttle away as soon as your back is turned?

    Actually ......

Pythagoras is credited with identifying the harmonic nodes on a string, and the proportional relationship between the perfect 4th and perfect 5th. It's not all about triangles y'know!!!

Get back here with that coat!

I don't believe that when we die that's it. I'm not saying that what religions claim will happen it true but I'm sure it just doesn't end at the coffin. The brain is too complex for it to just shut off completely. Life is too complex to just cease to exist and that's it. The brain did name itself so there has to be more out there.

I always liked to think of consciousness dispersing like radio waves when the brain dies.

Probably not feasible, but makes a good bit of pseudoscience if I want to work the afterlife/reincarnation into science fantasy.

That you must eat 5 peices of fruit and vegetables a day and 8 glasses of water and all that craic. I don't eat fruit, I haven't in years and I don't eat vegetables, bar potatos and I'm not dead yet.

Time is not man made. The way we measure Time is man made (obviously) but Time itself does exist independently of mankind otherwise everything would happen at the same time.
