Hi all, just wondering Is it ok to eat a tin of Tuna (in brine) every other day? Or are mercury levels too high at that rate?

    Thanks!

I think you would need to eat a serious amount of it for it to be a concern.

For months I ate atleast a tin a day. Still here to tell the tale :pac:

I think the Tuna in the tins tend to be quite small fish. They'd never have enough mercury in them to do you any harm!

My friend has been experiencing serious memory loss of late, and the doctor has been no help. She's been eating 3+ large tins of tuna per week for years so thinks she may have mercury poisoning. Apparently there is no way of testing for this (according to the doctor).

Has anyone got any advice on this matter. It's making me quite concerned.

She is 28 by the way

    Thanks

If tins of tuna caused mercury poisoning, I'd be long gone. I have at least 5 a week. As well as salmon at least once a week. Don't worry.

Don't try to diagnose this yourself. Ask a different doctor if you are in doubt
