Hey there i need your help guys. i bought a boat and im looking for a place to put it in :P I was thinking about Ardmore quay or the small quay before Solas na Mara(helvic head) . the small quay is just after spar as you are driving to the solas na mara. Any ideas which would be better and do you know any contact details so i could contact them about the costs and stuff?

With a question like that you must be a novice, so first get some lessons and wear a lifejacket. I do not know the places you name, but public slipways are free to use. It is both bad manners and bad seamanship to sail off and leave your trailer blocking a slip. I’ve known of a persistent offender’s trailer to develop faulty brakes and roll sideways into the sea.

Probably best to take a drive down and talk to the local boat owners who keep their boats there. You might get some useful information either way in terms of available spaces etc.

That's Baile na nGall you're talking about. I'm unclear if you want to moor or launch though. For launching helvick would be more popular as there's a bit more space at the slip, and more parking spaces.
If you want a mooring your best bet is to pop down and chat with the locals. There are a few boats along the pier wall, so see if you can meet anyone on them.
