We sorted out some longer term storage and now the absentee co owner is driving me nuts re having the boat repaired and painted.

We had Brendan Treacy Arklow lined up to do the repairs but due to health issues/knees he's unable to do so.

So we're looking for somewhere/someone else. I'd prefer East coast but it's on a good trailer so I can tow it further afield if needs be. Any suggestions?

I think your best bet would be to do the job yourself as the amount of work involved in stripping sanding and painting is time consuming and expensive you also said in another post that some of the planks were soft and there were some cracked ribs these can also be a lot of work to make and replace and when she is striped I'm sure you will find some more. If you value the boat at €2,000 now by the time you get her repaired say another €1,000 in parts and labour if your lucky she will still only be worth €2000 if that.

You could give these a call and send them some photos they might be able to give you a rough price "as you never know with boats" http://www.woodengems.ie/smallboats.html

Good luck with her. You have to love wood to keep a wooden boat or have very deep pockets :D
