Bit of a rut

So I've hit a bit of a rut when it comes to playing guitar. I've been playing on and off for about 5 years now and I don't feel like i've really progressed as far as I could have. I've tried guitar lessons which were a great help and showed me what I was capable of but money/time constraints put an end to that, I'd really like to get back into the learning groove.

I'm a fan of Guitar Pro and would use it a lot when learning a few licks and riffs here and there. Anybody know a good source instructional info be it Dvd, tabs, GP files?

I'm a fan of Blues, Classic Rock (Priest etc) 80's Metal, all the way to Death/Black metal just to give you an idea of the stuff I would lean towards when it comes to playing.
