    Hi all,
I'm mum to a 10 mth old so time is limited. I'm a stone overweight since having baby. Pre baby would have been quite fit - half marathons a session of body attack wouldn't shake me.

Not afraid of hard work, but I work from home so I have an hours break. Looking for something I could do in 30 mins and have time to eat and shower after. Would anyone know of a good dvd or training programme. I'm starting from a good baseline I run when given the opportunity and had been going to classes while on maternity leave

    TIA!

You could try this book... http://www.amazon.co.uk/You-Are-Your-Own-Gym/dp/0345528581/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374177548&sr=8-1&keywords=bodyweight+bible

You could try insanity dvds? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Insanity-Ultimate-Workout-Fitness-Programme/dp/B002QZ1RS6/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1374177588&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=insanity+workout+dvd

Expensive, but you can get it for free on some websites.

In the meantime, you could do as many burpees as you can in the half an hour. That really gets you out of breath, sweating etc and.

I had thought of the burpees but I was wondering if that would be mad, but thinking about it burpees would probably tone up everywhere too!

I found the 30 day shred very good. It's about 20/25 mins workout and you really work up a sweat. I think you might find some of it on you tube.

Jillian Michaels has 30 min workouts
    Run?
T25 is 25 min workout (have just started), very intense but great
    Insanity is slightly over 30
HIIT training... the possibilities are endless

You can lose weight with 30 mins of exercise a day no problem. But the most important part is what you eat for the other 23.5 hours a day!

Track your calories, use a calculator to estimate your BMR (how many calories you need to maintain your weight) and eat ~20% less than that. It will take some trial and error and consistency to find your actual BMR

I know nothing about the dvd's you guys are talking about! If they divide the workout into something like 5-10 minute warm up/mobility work, 10-15 minute HIIT 10 minutes warm down/stretching, then yep, they suit a 30 minute window.

If it's 30 minutes of just randomly working out the OP will just be run into the ground with imbalances after a few weeks!

Op, if possible you'd probably be better trying to squeeze another 15-30 minutes for your workout!

Then a clean balanced diet will sort the rest!

Thanks everyone for the great advice, I'm breastfeeding so eating to appetite no booze for me and no junk either! Greenie I'd love to check out insanity! I'm feeling so tired since I went back to work and I know it's from lack of activity!
