In England yesterday I saw a bus X178CHJ. An Alexander ALX400 body. I noticed it had CIE typeface on its emergency exit, prompting me to think it is a former Dublin bus. I should have taken a better look to see which other features it retained.

Formerly AV15 of Ringsend, now with Red Route of Northfleet.

ex-DB vehicles are very popular with UK operators, and command good resale value.

    Always liked the AV's myself.

Still seems ridiculous though that we're selling off apparently still perfectly serviceable and desirable buses to buy shiny new (but not necessarily better) ones in the midst of a recession.
Whatever about the previous-gen Olympians as they weren't low floor etc, but the AV's were fine (if noisier in their old age) for the most part.

Is this batch of GTs the last? When were they ordered? Cost?
