Gym during the heatwave???

Has anyone else been laying off the gym during the heatwave?
I tried a spin class one evening but had no energy and felt nauseous and shaky afterwards (I never feel like this after a workout). The classes I go to are usually spin, dance, kettlebells.

I'm still watching my diet and walking 4-5k a day. My gym is small and doesnt have great aircon and I also feel I "should" be enjoying the nice weather while we have it... but it looks like it's gonna last a bit longer!

    Anyone else the same?

Just back from the gym - interval training is not at all fun in this heat. But meh, just stay hydrated, accept you might not be able to give it as much as you usually do and keep going anyway.

Training is great for keeping your confidence healthy with the lack of clothes needed these days too!!

It's awesome training in this. I feel like christy moore. Sweating the fat off.

    This!

I feel like I'm Queen of the Weights Area! It's wonderful compared to what is usually a place that is in an absolute mess and full of lads (haven't seen another woman there yet) standing around doing SFA to be honest.

Keep hydrated and keep going. The heat is a bit uncomfortable but goals are goals. Get it done.

Are you drinking more to keep well hydrated, and you say your watching your diet? you still need to get plenty of food in to fuel your workouts.

I find the heat great motivation to go at 7 am as oppose to after work, going to try and keep going at 7.

I'm actually getting in a 5k run in the evenings as well.

Cried off yesterday over the heat and ended up in the chipper, what a waste..

Won't be making the same mistake today though have to wait till 5pm to go, 30 intervals on rower awaits me,hope i suffer!!

I always go at around 8am, so I don't notice much of a difference heat-wise or people-wise. If anything, I find myself going for short runs (~5k) during my lunch break more and more to force myself outside and away from the refreshing aircon office environment

I've been going more than usual as I prefer it when it's emptier just do your workout and not be waiting for machines or anything. I've noticed Mondays are really emptier than usual went this Monday at a later time than usual when it would normally be packed but it was very quiet and not that busy. I usually go between 11-2 .

Love training in the heat, provides me with a much bigger challenge mentally than training in a cool environment
