Today and tomorrow are the 2 days in the year I am happiest not to be in Belfast anymore.

Rubbish few days for anyone not interested in the Orange Order, menacingly large bonfires and marching bands.

The refugees have been encamped here all week. Remembered to take the Stg with them this time as well, spending like there's no tomorrow!

    Up King Billy!!

Aye, great, unless your house is right beside them. Before you start yapping I grew up in North Belfast and know plenty about large bonfires, melted plastic guttering and the general displays of idioacy that accompany them.

Aye, dead on, orangefest...it's just one big happy day out for all the family. Pull the other. Except I don't know anyone in my family or circle of friends who aren't embarassed by the whole show.

Don't encourage them. Don't go...go any other time of the year, but don't gives these eejits and their transparent attempts at turd polishing the oxygen of publicity. Orangefest! Sponsoring division and intimidation since before you were born!

Unless you think sectarian songs, paramilitary bands and flag burning sound like a day of craic. If you do, go..you'll love it.

Don't miss the aul codgers rattling on about the protestant faith in the field, you'll roar laughing. Look on in amazement as the annual "chuck bricks at the police" sporting event takes hold in the evening at the OO sponsored protest on the Ardoyne.

Ranting like children as they didn't get their way from the UK's NI secretary, the parades commission or the police. Yet, they, the OO are right. Everyone else is wrong.

Stain on the country, a national disgrace.

Great family day out that people all over the world come to :pac:

Never in my life have a seen an ad on UTV, RTE or in print saying "Come to Belfast for the Twelfth of July! Sure it's great craic so it is!"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭Teyla Emmagan

It really is mental in 2013 that this cr&p is still going on. Belfast emptying out so people don't have to put up with crazy sectarian nutjobs for a few days. Bananas.

What is "my people mate"...I don't think I have a "people mate", but they sound useful.

Get it right wedged up there if you can.

Happy 11th & 12 July, except if you are black, from the Ivory Coast, Polish, Catholic or from the south of Ireland.

See and hear the hatred and naked sectarianism in the children, most of whom are probably not even 10 years old.

For the second video go to 0:22, it really is quite shocking.

But beside all that, it is great for everyone right Gallag?

You missed the gays. Not particularly welcome either....and the Romanians and Roma gypsies.

Check out the bands with UVF banners singing UVF songs. Many have Combat 18 connections too.

Seriously, bring yer grannie down....she will love it.

Just be careful not to strain your knees and fall over when they are shoving it up there.

I know it fills you with joy to get it shoved up there tall and proud.

Actually there is plenty of openly gay Protestants who are in bands. I know one personally. Keep up the propaganda though. Rather funny though coming from a person who lives in a state which was controlled by the Catholic Church who despises gay people and practically made slaves of women and anti contraception laws.

Buenos Aires has moved again has it....

Born in Belfast, grew up and educated in Belfast, spent some time in Dublin. You can try again if you like.

    Silly billy (boy).

ps...didn't look like they were too welcome at the pride festival the other week.
