High Ankle Sprain Rehab Exercises?

    Hello,

5 weeks ago I suffered a high ankle sprain while playing soccer. My ankle turned inward at the time, like most occur, and I had major swelling above the outside ankle bone. I saw a Dr, but she said I could return to action at my own discretion, and that there were no fractures but a high ankle sprain. At this point, I can walk normally with no pain, and rotate my ankle fairly well but not 100%- it cracks and is not nearly as flexible as the other. But the swelling for the most part is gone. My main concern is that when I squat or lower my body like I feel pressure build up and it feels like it is at my Achilles tendon, but its strange b/c it never felt bad there until recently and all Ive been doing is sitting and walking minimally if not at all, and I spent the 1st 2 weeks in a boot when i did walk. I suspect it may be like scar tissue or possibly some minor sprain but unsure. The high ankle (above the bone) is still a bit tender to the touch but is definitely manageable and has progressed. Anyway, can anyone recommend good introductory rehab exercises, websites, or videos? I've looked around but none of them address my issue of also having soreness in the achilles from a high ankle sprain- instead they discuss the upper ankle and calf from what ive seen. I had a 3rd degree sprain which affected my growth plate about 6 years ago, as well as a more painful/sever high ankle sprain 2 years ago but that one did not affect the achilles. I really hope this 1 did not affect my achilles, growth plates, or any other ligaments in that area b/c if I think so I will have to get a 2nd opinion. I am not looking for a diagnosis but just if someone has had a similar injury that affect the achilles/heel and if it is normal, and if they know any productive exercises. If that doesnt work than I will head to the Dr.
    Thanks.

I had high ankle sprain nearly two years ago, misdiagnosed. Went back training. Long story short actually had syndesmosis tear and required surgery. I was told that I should have been in the boot from the time I had the injury and I might have avoided surgery. I needed to have MRI before a proper diagnosis was made.
