Low dirty tactic fighting

I found this article to be disturbingly insightful. It lists and describes six low dirty tactics in an argument.

    Can you think of anymore?

Just want to add this isn't gender specific or just for women. I don't know why I put it here, you can move it if its not gyno enough. I didn't know where else to put it.

Conceding some irrelevant minutiae of their argument and then direct them to do the same with the integral point you're making-which they are unable to concede- thereby spring boarding yourself to moral superiority by appearing reasonable, able to make concessions etc.
In essence you're marketing yourself as being measured, giving ground etc, regardless of the validity of your argument, through this juxtaposition. But pick the comparison carefully!

I've had #6 thrown at me before, it's self-defeating to argue against an accusation of hysteria-in a way if you engage with it, you validate it-and people often confuse anger with aggression. Given this, I've found it useful to call them on their inability to distinguish between emotions and behaviour to imply they are not 'adult' enough for a debate, and finish it with 'I'm sorry you feel that way but I can't be responsible for what you feel".

In any discussion/ conflict of opinion I was ever in I usually got the ..attack is the best form of defence....The best way to deal with that is to say clearly and firmly that we are talking x ( x being the issue that needs sorting ) we will talk about your issue after we have discussed x, keep doing that in a calm neutral way and never let yourself be diverted. I have loads of tips I picked after I separated from my first husband and they are brilliant for sorting things and not letting stuff turn in to a row.

Some people want to win an argument at any cost and there is very little point in trying to talk to them.

It is interesting to look at refraining and conflict resolution, for example someone saying ...I SHOT down all his/her points....some people really do see an argument as war.

I had forgetting about this my first husband use to say to me...women always turn on the water works if they cant win an argument i.e cry,

If I got upset after we had an argument apparently it was my fault for making him feel bad!! so in his opinion there was no point in talking to me and so stuff never got resolved because I was afraid of making him feel bad.

I think that falls under number 6.

Yes there is a family member I have had to remind in several occasions, you can win the fight, but that won't solve the problem.

What does winning mean anyway? That the person walks away thinking they are right? What fools. It doesn't matter a cent who is right and who is wrong.

my wife pulls up things i did many years ago,(even things i told her i did as a kid) if she losing an arguement,
some things i'm not to proud of,(rough inner city upbringing) if i'm still on top of the debate/arguement.
she will keep digging at negivative things until she fined the one that is the straw on the camels back ,i get pissed off, then she'd say see i told you, you are just mean to me........ can't win this one.

she some time reminds me of a bouncer on a nite club, that just woun't let you in and keeps at you til you tell him to Fec k off,

then you a barred for life.......:(
