Career Move: Big Four Audit to Equity Research

    Hi guys

I will be beginning a graduate job in audit (FS) at one of the Big Four firms in September.

I am wondering what are my chances of moving into an equity research role after I complete my 3 years and have an ACA?
I would consider applying for graduate ER roles but I cant really afford to pay off the firm who sponsored my masters.

It is not a case of me dreading the thought of accounting, I actually am quite interested in it and look forward to beginning work at the Big 4 despite the many negative stories. I would just rather be in an ER role.

Would you think I would be in a good position to move into ER after I qualify or should I really be going in at graduate level?

If I were to move into ER, is it highly likely that I would need to study for the CFA?

I hold a first class honours degree in Accounting and Finance (top of the year) and a 2.1 Masters.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
