Just wondered if anybody finds that triangular tatoo girls get on their lower back, right above their ass, sexy?

I've never found that attractive nor sexy but I respect others' opinion if they do find it attractive?

What are your views on this? If you have one, why did you get it?

Tramp stamp up here too, can only really get the effect if wearing hipsters and thong halfway up their back, classy.

That's the tramp stamp above the whale tail.

They were 'different' when they start becoming popular in '94-'95.

They are a ridiculous cliche at this point.

Tramp Stamp and Slag Tag are the names I've heard it go by. Not particularly fond of them myself and wouldn't advise any female friends to get one.

Slag tag? They'll never even see it properly...

Cause in 30 years she would be a whole lot sexier without the tattoo?

Jimmy Carr calls them a "target".

I thought they were called arse antlers?

    They're sexy....in a durty kind of way.

But at this stage, no woman in her right mind should be getting one, like them or not there's a huge stigma attached to them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,739 ✭✭✭✭minidazzler

I just call it a cum target. Keep things nice and simple.

I don't care about them either way. A really unoriginal design, but meh. But when girls try to explain the "reasons" and what it "means to them" I just have to laugh.

Depends on the carrier, 18 y/o hot stuff or 37 y/o mum of three with different daddies.

They're put there to keep guy's with short attention spans interested during doggy times.

They have a picture to look at.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,969 ✭✭✭hardCopy

They can look sexy, but not in an "I would marry her" kind of way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

    Jaysus another tattoo thread?

Going to hazard a guess and say the consensus will end up something like:

    Neck: Dodgy character
Lower back: Lady of loose virtue

It looks sexy on a sexy woman. Not everyone can pull it off.

Nothing worse than a tattoo on the lower back that says "Insert here"...

It rules tem out of getting an epidural if they ever give birth.
Docs won't give one through ink.
Bet the tattoo artists don't tell them that!

I always tell them that. I also tell them it is bull**** and that upon finding out they are pregnant ask their doctor. If he says no find another doctor.

My wife has one , she got it done for me just after we were married.

It says ,in little writing... "before we start , are the bins out ?"

A girl with a tattoo on her lower back - very sexy, especially if he is wearing really low rise jeans that also show her g-string or butt-crack.

Like most tattoos I look at them and think Christ what were you thinking?

I find it attractive if a girl has lots of tattos on her arms because that's her "thing" and means a lot to her and her persona.

It's totally unattractive if a girl has a single tattoo on the lower back or ankle, and is otherwise a plain ordinary girl. These girls often think their tattoo is "classy" and "tasteful" but in fact it's so commonplace nowadays that it comes across as boring and ugly. A tramp stamp in other words.

Let me get this right ... "you've met Christ , he has a tattoo and it's not great looking ? "

Trouble with tatoo's is when they go out of fashion you can't get rid of them.

    find another doctor.

I think I would take the advise of a doctor over a tattoo artist!!!

And it's not bs. There is an much increased risk of sceptisemia

Also your spelling of septicaemia leaves me sceptical of your knowledge in this area. The exclamation points did little to help.

I have a tattoo on my lower back :P

I don't know what you mean by triangular tattoo though.

I dunno, I like some if not many tattoos at the time. The problem is the "at the time" part. Like anything else they're fashion based. I think back(being an old fart) and look at the fashion statements(more like rantings) I made in the past. Tattoos are so much more permanent. So it's kinda like me thinking "bellbottoms are cool, as are zips on shirts. I know I'll weld them to my body and represent for the future". Oh wait...

I'm so not agin body modification. I think it well cool and it has a looooong history. It's one of those things that made us truly human. Otzi the iceman had tats. I'd not be surprised to discover that our Neandertal cousins had them(or scarification) too. Even if not for me, as a pain averse whiney wussbag, I still dig this whole thing, but when the real/authentic body mod stuff crosses over into the dumbed down mainstream I do tend to think WT everliving F. The only "tribe" they're a part of is the "Ifollowanythingcositscool" tribe. Eh no.

    My 3 cents anyway.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I think a tattoo on the lower abdomen or on the ribs can be very nice.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 10 focusvsastrata

I don't think it looks good in my opinion. Some tattoo's are grand but I just think these look bad in general. Especially for women when they get older.

I don't know what you mean by triangular tattoo though.

They tend to have a triangular shape, pointing down towards the arse crack like this for example.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,681 ✭✭✭bodice ripper

Ribs are just the new lower back, and bird silhouettes are the new tribal. Give it a few years, and there will be a derisive term and public contempt for them too.

I'd rather a tayto on the back tbh, nothing like finding a good tayto

Oh duh, of course! Sometimes I think my brain has fallen out...

Here's my one for anyone that gives a shít. I don't think it's too tramp stampy, but obviously I'm biased :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Ah the tramp stamp. Yeah, not even remotely attractive for me.

Tattoos in other places can be though.
