    Sister in laws fella has decided that there would be nothing better than me taking him out for "spin" in my boat..

    Now the "spin" wants to go on is about a 20 mile round trip.....

    Firstly I don't mind the guy at all and is quite easy to get along with. My only problem is how to get him to cough up for some of the fuel?

    I am runnning at present a 140hp on a 17ft speedboat, so it's quite nippy and obviously thirsty...I don't mind whatsoever fuelling it up for one of my trips that I want to take, but to fulfil someone elses desires (other than the lovely better half herself) to go sighseeing is another thing..

    I know he won't offer to pay whatsoever and I just want to know how can i discreetly raise the subject of him paying some what towards fuel...

    He'd pay to go fishing off the coast or cruising on the canals , why does he think I'm a charity???? Breghall free tours doesn't exist :P

    Hand him two empty 20l cans beforehand and say "I'll get the sambos, you sort them out" :)
