Between the coke can and a beer can as best I can remember.

American beer cans are 355ml as standard, our coke ones are 330ml. Not much of a difference really.

Ah ok cheers. As opposed to our 500ml cans. It's so weird, everything in America seems to be massive, except for their tiny alcohol cans!

Yeah, America is a strange country when it comes to alcohol :P

So they can drink more cans but take longer to get drunk?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,629 ✭✭✭Adiboo

    They're just lightweights.

I seen 5lb burgers on Man vs Food today, it was one of the most American thing I EVER saw.
Amazing how our portions differ in so many ways.

Thing I always found odd about that show was the claims before hand. Only two people have ever finished this burger! Cue Adam doing it with 45 minutes to spare. Obviously it isnt as hard as they say.

I'll split this into it's own thread as since it's wrestling-related it can't go in the off-topic

Adam from Man vs Food is a beast though. He trains and drinks a lot of water to expand his tummy before these food challenges, but he did one per episode so I'm not surprised he can clock these things. The ridiculous food portions in the states, I can't watch the show after dinner!

A lot of it does look nice, but its usually ruined with a hundred spices and sauces and crap. The meat on its own looked great before they mess it up with too many extras.

The thing I hate about Man vs Food is that he fills up the show with a lot of crap like today when he was playing a guitar in a fantasy sequence as he had to finish a like 15lb meal to win the guitar.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

I'm extremely jealous whenever you see these ridiculously massive steaks. Size of a toilet bowl!

Thats another thing. It's a timed challenge but he decides it would be better to stop and have a chat instead of trying to finish it first?

Never trust the billed height. He was about 7'7''. Still massive, but a good bit under 8.

I put away a 2 pounder once in Boston. 4 half pounders in a bun and another half pound of fries. Nearly killed me! If you did the five you got your photo on the wall.

They probably had about 8 slices of cheese with it too to make it worse.
I seen him eat a huge omellete last week which looked like a big slab. He also went to go see the chickens that provided the eggs for some time consuming reason.

    Wikipedia tells lies! :(

in unrelated but OT related news, I ate a 54oz steak with all the trimmings in 1h10m when I was 19. they had to bring the meal out on one of those big steel serving platters!

the deal was, you got it free if you ate it quicker than the last guy and he was 5 minutes slower than me.

held it down till I got home, but I was so bloated that I couldn't sleep, so I made myself sick just so I could lay down.

It's not Wiki's fault! Blame Vince McMahon! :p He exaggerated the heights and weights of loads of wrestlers to make them seem even more exceptional to the audience.

It's funny you should say that. :)
Shrek is (supposedly) modelled on the appearance of another acromegalic French pro-wrestler! I present to you Mr Maurice Tillet:

I thought the giant Gonzalez was awesome when I was a kid!, looking back now It seems he was not quite as awesome.which makes me wonder; do Cena's ex toddler fans now realise he's now not as good as they thought 5-8 years ago.hmmm

He wasn't Super Cena at that time. He was only starting to establish himself as a main eventer following his rapper gimmick. He only debuted about 10 years ago.

Yes I know, but Cena's whole run as a cheesy babyface has been about 5 years. Plenty of time for somebody to go through puberty lol

When I went to WM XX they had a cast made from Andre's hands in Toys R Us on Times Square so you could see how big they were. Tbh, I was a little let down, they were big but not like I had heard. I guess they were about as big as you would expect them to be for a man of his size but no more than that.
