The story has been done to death and Dyer (who has become a parody of himself) is miscast.

"I would have bled to keep red in the union jack"

    Ridiculous line!

Having seeing Dyer act like a puss in his 'Ardest men tv show, it's hard to take him as anything let alone someone who was in the SAS.

Completely different movie, yet a brilliant and insightful review of :eek:Danny:eek:Dyer:eek: himself.

I see Charles Rayne survived his fall at the climax of Passenger 57 to pop up in this. It really does look like shíte of the dog, but Dany's gotta eat too.

I'd be inclined to agree. Danny Boy is a one trick pony and it wasn't even a good trick the first time.

    Being a tosser.

After becoming a parody of himself you would think that the lad would look to break the mold, play a different type of character.

Nah, not our Danny. Fackin geezer innit.

Danny Dyer, king of the straight to video ultraviolent Britflick. Having large since the 1990s.

He also acts the hardman in real life

To be fair to Dyer, he's not a bad actor he's a terrible judge of quality. He really impressed me in Severance, The Business, Malice in Wonderland and a few others, but overall he's played the same role over and over again. The by the numbers hard geezer.

Vendetta looks like a more glamorous version of The Veteran, which for a quiet Friday night in with a few beers may not be the worst.

Yes. Severance was a great movie and his "Keep digging, we can still see ya" line was very good.

I've said it before, but Danny Dyer's greatest (and possibly only valuable) contribution to the world is his twitter feed:

I can just hear him say "Vendeh ahh" - "It's a vendeh ahh, YOU SLAAAG!"

I wish Danny Dyer would seek alternative employment, away from the public gaze! :D

    "You've got to be tall"

    *dramatic pause*

    "....taller than you've ever been"

    Jesus christ

His character in Human Traffic was alright, enjoyed that...... and maybe Football Factory, that was it though, oh wait, I liked The Business too :)

Forgot about Human Traffic! Yeah, John Simm was good in that.

    Dyer was dire.

OK, maybe not 'dire', but the pun was too good to waste. He was annoying in HT too, but I presumed he was a talented young actor playing a pastiche.

Anyone ever look at his deadliest men series? He was supposed to be a terrible cahnt in it.

Saw a few episodes. He came across as pathetically impressed by the developmentally unimpressive. And a little scared as well from time to time. The former being cringeworthy, the latter - well, kinda funny

Here's a good 'un. He gets punched by a big dollop. Gets scared, yet somehow you get the impression he really really really wants the big dollop to like him...

The only movie I saw of his that I enjoyed was Severance. If this is terrible, then we can at least expect to hear a really funny and scathing review by Mark Kermode, so there is some positive aspects to be taken from it.

In a recent interview danny said he only did the real football factories and deadest men because he was offered a lot of money and that it hurt his movie career. He also said that he was just pretending to be scared in those programs because it was part of the script.

530 into the interview he talks about both shows

With Dyer there seems to be no separation between the man and the actor. He is always in character, 1D.
