    Hi,
We have a stone cladding gold quartz chimney breast and we're looking for a natural stone hearth. We're told that the 60mm sandstone hearth can only come in 4 parts. Deminsions are 2.3meters across and 700mm deep.

Is there anywhere to get this in a one piece? or is 4 piece totally the norm and will look fine?

    Hi Linto
You would be better to put it in pieces. A full slab may crack with intense heat. The smaller pieces will have a joint and if anything happens the joints will take the heat and let the pieces of slab expand slighty and contract.
