Hmmm dunno, he seems to know what countries to go to anyhow, if they do it will take a while to extradite him.

ID say they will hire somebody like this dude to go find him and kidnap him back to the US

Was so sure it was gonna be Liam Neeson "I will find you" clip.

You'd think after the revelations of the phone network hacking in China, the Whitehouse would be keeping its head down or apologising to Beijing and not acting in the manner in which they are. The brass neck on them. I'm guessing Snowden still has a bit more info for leaking.

He´ll be shot and buried at sea of course. Just like that other fella the seal team shot with all the proof and stuff.

What's all the fuss about? Some ex spook decides he wants a bit of fame so tells the world that various security agencies know almost as much about our private lives as Google do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,734 ✭✭✭✭osarusan

Do they want to catch him?

Whatever about engineering his accidental death, do they want a trial in the future where he will be able to go over all this again in detail, presumably forcing other members of intelligence agencies to testify to all kinds of stuff also?

In the face of inevitable overwhelming criticism, would the US come up with some kind of closed court?

Maybe a question for Aircraft & Aviation forum, but if he flies on a scheduled flight from Moscow to Havana and that flight goes over the United States, are the US entitled to force that plane to land so they could apprehend him? (Hypothetically!?)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,250 ✭✭✭✭bumper234

Leeson has been in some of the worst films ive ever seen

    The Grey: Horse****
Battleship: Only good thing about it was Rihanna Getting a Hook
    Taken: BLEH!!
    Taken 2: YUCK!
Michael Collins: Factually incorrect on so many levels

anyways back to the main point

I think the Americans will get him, they always get their man!!

    DAFUQ????

Seriously.....how could you forget to add that (shoulda been) oscar winning performance as Hannibal in the A-Team?

He's not shown up for his flight to Cuba. So Chuck Norris has possibly already taken him out.

I believe once he is in US air space they could force the landing. This is why i think you won't see or hear from him until he surfaces in Ecuador. I think Cuba would have been a risky stop over for him and he will be shuttled out at a later date on a diplomatic flight. Saying that wouldnt be surprised if the yanks tried to pressure Russia into handing him over...depends on what they have to offer i suppose.

Obama is as bad if not worse than G.W Bush ever was and if anything happens to Snowden it will only add to his legacy of gross hypocrisy.

Obama proclaimed open govt yet is crimilising whistle blowers and tapping the phone calls of journalists.

He is running the largest espionage ring and invasion of privacy operation ever.

He won the peace prize yet escalated the war in Afghanistan, only pulled out of Iraq when they told him to fcuk off, and is supplying weapons to terrorists in Syria.

Killing 1000's in Pakistan with drone strikes, anyone that might look like a terrorist is killed in “signature strikes", they have no idea who they are.

I think they will get him eventually somehow, i really hope they dont though haha

I think its hilarious they are going crazy about him telling people their spying secrets

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,572 ✭✭✭msg11

I for one am not surprised about the use of what we think is private on the internet is not so private. Just surprised they actually pay people to go and read all the e-mails/text messages and listen to all the phone calls of everyone. I have nothing to hide, so I will still use all my devices the same. Say someone in the Irish secret service (or what ever they are) gets a good laugh reading some of my texts ! That's if there doing it here ..

If anyone should know nothing is safe should be the US after all them cables got leaked out, is that bloke still held up in London ?

The funniest part for me is this.

If Snowden was Russian, Chinese, Iranian or North Korean and he let loose the information that he did and then sought asylum in the USA he would be welcomed with open arms. The US government would be on TV stating what a hero he was for doing what he did so the people of the free world could see how these evil dictatorships and communist hell holes oppressed their people.

Putin says the dissident is in the airport transit zone in Moscow.
    http://rt.com/news/putin-snowden-moscow-extradition-220/
“It is true that Snowden has arrived to Moscow, and it really came as a surprise for us. He arrived as a transit passenger, and didn't need a [Russian] visa, or any other documents. As a transit passenger he is entitled to buy a ticket and fly to wherever he wants,” said Putin
