Tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw is live from North Charleston, SC this week
After an reported "shoot" injury ended their match short last week, Daniel Bryan will go one-on-one with "The Viper" Randy Orton to once again prove which man is the weak link in their ongoing feud with The Shield.
Also, what's next for CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, following the beast incarnate's attack last week after Raw's main event. And what does this mean for the Straight Edge Savior's relationship with long-time friend and manager, Paul Heyman?

Has to be Orton's heel turn tonight.

Surely they won't turn Bryan heel, would be insanity.

hopefully they slow-burn the Punk-Lesnar feud and save it for Summerslam, MITB doesnt need a big match like that.
Might be worth having Punk Vs Perfect Jr. first, even if Punk wins it'd be a massive rub for Curt.

would also like to see Cody's duel challenge to JBL being played out on RAW rather than being just left on the JBL & Cole Show.

Turns out my brother is going to be seeing this live tonight! I'm very jealous. :o

I thought they would have canned the Bryan beating Orton & Orton turning heel thing as it's out in public now. But they still booked the match. Maybe Brian will still get his win but they'll hold off on Orton turning heel for now.

They could have Punk/Axel at MITB and Lesnar runs it and costs Punk the match, boom there's your Summerslam main event.

It'd be a slap in the face to Punk and the fans if this wasn't at a massive PPV like Summerslam, it's a massive match. Punk deserves it and Lesnar will always be a huge draw.

We're not with anyone with a Newcastle jersey but does it have Cabaye on the back by any chance?

It does. :) He probably has a Rey Mysterio mask as well!

Ha some coincidence, we're staying close by to each other, saw the jersey earlier! Could be getting the same taxi home later :)

I'm dying to know what Paul Heyman has to say about Brock Lesnar's attack on CM Punk last week......
Randy Orton & Daniel Bryan III should be great, Randy's long awaited heel turn tonight perhaps??, also keeping my fingers crossed for a Mark Henry attack on John Cena

Daniel Bryan & Randy Orton kicking off the show :D, promo from Daniel Bryan

He talked about the Lesnar attack on Smackdown. Or rather he didn't as he made an excuse for not answering.

I saw Smackdown, and i think Heyman just tiptoed around the issue

Dublin Street Fight? Does that mean Sheamus is gonna finish it with a rusty syringe and a bellowing of 'stay down, or I'll jab with the virus'?

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,853 Mod ✭✭✭✭riffmongous

A Dublin Street Fight eh? I just hope they have Mae Young at ringside shouting 'ah leave it out'

It's high time to get rid of Vickie Guerrero & Brad Maddox, both are ABSOLUTELY useless

That was very funny. I love AJ

Maddox is brilliant! He's a total troll, knows exactly what he's doing. And the reaction Vicky just got in the ring is why she still gets on TV every week. Serious noise.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I couldn't agree with you more. She gets a reaction out of people, therefore she is doing her job well. Ryback now, I hope he doesn't get relegated too far down the card after Payback.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭Chagan

Jesus, Ryback's stock has fallen. The crowd couldn't even muster a half decent Goldberg chant for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

The Great Khali's stock has fallen even more, I think. The Goldberg chant not being there is good.

Khali should feel blessed that he even gets to wrestle on television. Getting a Goldberg chant is better than silence at least.

I'd like to see Sheamus versus Ryback actually, it would be better than what they are doing on at the moment. Sheamas usually puts on a good match versus the bigger guys, he won't be able to bully around a guy like Ryback which is actually good for Sheamas and finally it will help cement Ryback as a guy near the top rather than letting him sink down to the midcard

Punk reunited with his NXT rookie.

Surprised that the Shield aren't being pushed more after recent months.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,196 ✭✭✭Ridley

Disappointing that the crowd went mild for the PTP ganging up on Punk and Axel making the save. Also disappointing that there are no potential new main eventers in the MitB match (will there also be a WHC ladder match this go around?). I thought They'd say that the Y2J/Ryback winner would be put in the MitB as well but nope, and I'm a bit surprised Christian isn't facing Ambrose.

Still, at least WWE were kind enough to inform us that Cena has clap.

Another Raw thread that doesn't praise Bryan and Orton's Match.

The match stole an otherwise lacklustre RAw and an horrible Crowd. Only came awake during the main event. Punk's and Heyman's promo went on and on and did get a little boring.

Only 36 posts before this one? The last three being after the show had ended. Considering the praise last weeks show received I expected a better turn out this week. No clue what happened now since so few people posted :pac:

Pity you missed a great match. Woke that Poor crowd up

I thought it was a good show. Jericho-Del Rio (apart from the ending) and Bryan-Orton were both great matches; and it was nice to see Punk have a proper match with Darren Young instead of a squash match. Enjoyed it. Heyman-Punk did go on a bit long but it's an intriguing story line - was half expecting Axel to attack Punk.

Really strong RAW MITB announced but yeah its a shame there isn't a couple of wildcards in it; especially with all the young lads who've come through recently trying to make a mark.

The only bad thing was Cena's promo. Instead of saying "Well done Mark you got me, now here's what I'm going to do to you" or maybe plotting a plan to get his revenge and outsmart Henry this week; he went on a big rant about how awful what Mark did was - eh, yeah we know. We don't need Cena to tell us Henry using his family like that wasn't a nice thing to do.

From raw last night the raw MITB was announced the wrestlers are randy orton ,daniel bryan, cm punk, christian, kane and rvd my question is do you think its a for gone conclusion that daniel bryan wins this. Also i can see something where punk is about to win and brock lesnar costs him the match taughts?

To be honest, I can't really say I am excited about any of those guys winning, that's not to say I wouldn't mind them as champion, especially Bryan at this point, but none of them excite me as a potential 'Mr. Money in the Bank', especially the guys who have already won it (Christian would actually be interesting, but he has 0 chance of winning)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

Decent Raw,crowd weren't great at all.Enjoyed the Bryan/Orton match, and the backstage stuff with Vince/HHH and Vickie.AJ's mocking of Kaitlyn was good value aswell.

I see Punk is already back to his cringeworthy tweener promo phase again,at least he didn't use his real name in his meandering segment with Heyman like he did with HHH a few years ago.Match with D.Young was fairly gash too.

Glad Christian is in it. Fully expect a Bryan win as the others are just a chartsheet in levels of staleness in 2013.

I loved his feud with Orton about 2 years back. Thought he was brilliant

Thought it was funny saying Henry's speech was disrespectful to Ric Flair.
However it was great to see that Daniel Bryan opened and closed both Smackdown and Raw although his Hobbit joke reminded me of Cena's "comedy".

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,469 ✭✭✭✭GTR63

Okish show. Enjoyed the Main a lot more than I thought I would. I could understand the crowd being dead for the Cena and Henry bits they were a bit one note. Punk and Heyman dragged on too long and what it contained was a story i'm so sick of hearing.
