There's a thread in the events section about this. Just in case those of you who mightn't venture in there, here's a reminder.

Boardsies have traditionally exhibited their stuff so if you want to get involved, then get involved........

Any chance you could give a quick step-by-step guide on what's involved?

Do I need to print several of each for selling or what way does it work?

It's basically an exhibition of your stuff rather than a sales show. In fact overt selling is discouraged so no big price tags or "For Sale" signs are allowed.

The space on the railings is yours for two days and you can show whatever you want, it's entirely up to you. There are no criteria or limits but bear in mind it is a public show with kids walking by so porn is not suitable :)

Most people display anywhere from 6 to 12 mounted photos. Some people display framed stuff but that can be awkward if they are heavy. I had 52 paper bags last year so you're only limited by your imagination.

The real point of it is the craic and with the boards gang all together the craic does be good. Hang your stuff, bring a chair, sit down and enjoy the sun.

    Mine from last year....

Those bags look nice, where did you get them done?

    Samples :Dhttp://www.discountpackaging.ie/pastel-collection.html

Then cut out the square window and stuck a photo inside each bag. Stuck each row of 4 together with sticky tape and hung all 13 rows from the railings.

Did you buy up multiple spaces to do that? Looks cool.

Im thinking of getting some mounting board to put my pictures behind. I tried an art supply place when I was visiting home the other week but I'd have had to buy the board and cut out the sizes I needed. Can anyone reccommend places in Dublin where I could get some?

Ideally, list them but if not just book the number of spaces you need and fill them with whoever you want. We're really looking to get individual's names and emails so we can bombard them with crap :-)

    sorry dennis

what was confusing was, clubs tend to book single or double space, then use it for whole clubs work, rather than giving any single member a full space to themselves

well apart fromm DCC who do as your suggesting

I know what you mean, though we at Navan CC give individual spaces to each person. We just book enough to cover whoever wants to exhibit. Within that though some people will share a space if they don't think they'll have enough to show.
