Sinking a gas tank into the garden

    Hi all,
    I wonder if anyone has done this yet? I have a Calor Gas tank in my back garden and would love to see if I can sink it into the ground to free up some much needed space after having a baby late last year?

    Is it a big job and what does anything think the cost would be-I will be contacting Calor directly but want a bit of insight before speaking to them.

    It is a fairly substantial job & expensive. It's not just dig a hole & drop a tank into it. It is a specialised tank with anti-floatation device.
    You can go closer to boundary than a regular tank but all must be specified by Calor engineer. Every site/installation is different.
    You will also need access for an excavator & removal of spoil.
    The buried tank will also protrude from the ground, if memory serves me correctly 500mm.

    Contact Calor & ask for similar installation costs.
