    Hey all,

Just looking for some information regarding cooked foods and nutrition loss...

I know that over cooking food can lead to some nutritional loss, but does having the food cooked and stored for a number of days lead to nutritional loss...

For example, if I were to cook up a stir-fry and stored it in the fridge for a couple of days, would the vegetables and meat lose some of their essential minerals and vitamins?

    Cheers inadvance

    Hey,

Some foods would yes, Foods with water soluble vitamins like B and C will have nutritional loss when cooked and stored, even when storing oranges the the contain of vitamin decreases longer left. Foods like cooked meat will not lose much or anything as they are made for mostly Protein, Iron etc
