Vitamin intake: IV (injections) vs. oral tablets

I usually spend a small amount every 3 months on topping up on vitamins and supplements; the usual Vit C, E, B12 and protein, tribulus terrestris etc. They're all taken as a supplement, but not replacement for good diet and regular exercise.

Recently I've been reading up on another option - a regular IV vitamin injection, particularly coming into the Summer months when I'll be upping the gym and swimming to a daily routine, as opposed to Mon, Wed and Fri, Sat.

Have these treatments been around long enough for the benefits and side-effects to be known?

Have any boardsies experience with it?

Do you administer it yourself or is their a clinic, etc that offers the service?

Either way I think it's absolutely ridiculous.

Unless you have some sort of condition that you don't absorb vitamins from your food and you've a clean diet then IMO it's a waste of money.

I can see where you're coming from but - not knowing anything about the methodology behind it - I wouldn't be willing to write it off as totally useless just yet! ;)

I'd be of a similar viewpoint to an extent. Fair enough if you're taking fish oil/omega supplements and zinc, magnesium, etc. but many of the other supplements would be waste of time in my eyes as you'll go well over the RDA in food alone (with a decent diet) and end us just pissing out the rest.
