Points for Law and related courses?

    Hey guys,

Do you think there will be an increase in straight Law or Law & German this year?

I see from the CAO applicant statistics that applications to law overall (across the country) are down 4.5%.

I was surprised at the bump for Law & German over the past two years, as it seems to normally have remained sub-500, right?

Is it fair to say that last year's increase was due to the bonus points and it would be unusual for another bump to Law and German? Maybe even a decrease?

Just enquiring for a panicked friend who finished his Leaving Cert. on Wednesday.

    V.

I'm not sure current students are the best people to ask - people forget about the mysteries of the points system very quickly.

Yes. Points will shoot up. To 620, at least.

We really should have a sticky on how the cao system works, and a ban on pointless threads like this.
