Permanent Retainers

I had braces years ago and still have my permanent retainers. Today my top retainer broke and i rang to book an emergency appointment as they are digging into me however the receptionist said they had no availability until July:eek: She said they could trim it down and then i could come back in a few weeks for the whole procedure. I will have to pay 75 euro for this. Does anyone know whether i could go to another place as i am technically discharged from the practice i used to be in or would it be cheaper to wait around until July to get it fixed.

My advice is to get it fixed as soon as possible to avoid any p[ossibly unwanted tooth movement. Any orthodontist will be able to fix your bonded retainer for you, sooner the better.
