Hard coating for polystyrene sculpture

I'm making a ventriloquist's dummy. Ive carved the head and hands from polystyrene and painted them. Does anyone know where I could get a relatively inexpensive product to coat the polystyrene to give it a hard exterior?

Something a bit stronger than a coat of PVA glue.

    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

You could use Epoxy resin "west systems is clear" and you can get it in most marine shops, if you give it 3 coats it should be fine it's best to do them in the same day with a 2-3 hour gap between each coat.
