I make savage panini's on the George Forman. Here is my trick, use those part baked rolls instead of the cooked ones, they cook on the George Forman, nice and crispy, also use grated cheese it melts much better than sliced.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.

Frozen mini pizza toasted sand witches
It's two slices of white bread buttered on both sides with a mini pizza cheese and tomato in the middle

Two rashers on a brown pan, degrease the rashers with kitchen towel paper after frying. Lightly toast and butter the bread and spread mayo on the under slice. Put the rashers on and add fresh tomatoes and red sauce.

That's my favourite, I know some people though don't like mixing mayo and ketchup.

Who said you have to make it for friends

On one's own lazily putting it together without a care in the world and then when done you munch slowly into the brown-pettled corns of the bread and the tongue tickles off the beetroot and the melted cheese only to encounter the grilled tuna and then  taste-buds exploding.

    Tin of John West Tuna.
    Half an onion.
    Lashings of Mayonnaise.
Two thick slices of white or brown bread.

Dice up the onion and add it to the Tuna then with a fork dollop a rake of mayo in. Add this concoction to bread to make sandwich taste sensation. Recession-proof, idiot-proof etc.

    Me like that long time.

Must gain energy to make it to the kitchen for said 'taste sensation.

    Sober Version:

Slow roasted pork picked off the bone with gravy and caramelised onions in a freshly baked crusty roll with a pint of beer (Mmmmm, moist)

    Drunk Version:

Two pizzas sandwiched together (bases pointing outwards) with some extra ham or whatever thrown in between and cooked on the George Foreman. Works like a charm with surprisingly little mess.

    A toast sandwich.
Toast a thin slice of bread
Butter two slices of bread and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste
Place the toast between the two slices of bread-and-butter to form a sandwich

My Saturday morning: slices of grilled chicken (preferably kind of spicy), slices of tomato, and mashed avocado, with wholegrain bread and cup of strong coffee.

Ooooh, chicken stuffing and mayo is the biz!

But my favourite is peanut butter and banana sandwiches - you can either spread the peanut butter on the bread and slice the banana on top, or (my personal preference) put a tablespoon or so of peanut butter in a small bowl, break up the banana into the bowl and just mash the bejaysus out of it with a fork (leave a few lumps of 'nana), then spread the whole thing on your bread.

If it's good enough for Elvis....!! (although I have yet to fry it, as he liked!)

The fancy: croque monsieur - ham and cheese toastie royalty

The munchies: Birds Eye potato waffle (x2), thinly sliced cheddar, ketchup

The still have the munchies: Hunky dory cheese and onion, peanut butter triple decker between sliced wholgrain bread,

The vanilla: baked ham, tomato, cheese, mayo, lettuce on fresh, thickly cut toasted white bread

But if you're in Spain this trumps all: Bocadillo de tortilla - slab of potato omelette in a fresh crust roll.

Chibata bread toasted under grill with garlic butter. Topped with medium cooked steak, red onion, green pepper, grated mozzarella, and back under grill for cheese to melt.

Toasted sandwich filling of meaty bolognase sauce, mozzarella, outside of bread coated with garlic butter before toasting. WARNING. FILLING WILL BE VERY HOT.
