Tendinitis?

I'd be greatful if somebody could point me in the right direction with a problem I'm having.
I was lifting weights on Wednesday for the first time in a long time and I seem to have damaged both my arms. More so my right one.

Basically I have pretty severe pain on the inside of my elbow and the lower portion of my bicep. I can't straighten my arm fully as it feels really tight to do so. And it's too painful to try.

I did a little bit of searching online and it points to tendinitis.
Now, I'm not looking for any medical advice, I'm just wondering is there any stretching routines etc that can help sort it out? And should I put heat on it or ice packs? I'm not sure if the doc could do anything for me though. I presume a physio would be the person to see?

    Cheers. :)

Google DOMS, can be really bad at the start.

Is there any inflammation? Is the area red / swollen? If not then it is most likely DOMS, and should sudside in a few days, probably by sunday / monday..

Not much you can really do for DOMS - other than rest.. maybe when the pain gets less you can do a few light stretches, incorporating light weights.

If the area is inflammed / swollen then you can apply ice.. Gently massage the area.. and rest....

Tbh it sounds like tendonitis. There's a stretch you can do before and straight after any particular exercise that will help.

Get on your knees, and rest on your hands, arms slightly bent. Have your hands facing out sidewards, fingers splayed out, so that you look like a seal. Gently straighten out your arms to the point where its uncomfortable. After 5-10 seconds it should feel a little relieved. I know some guys who'll ice them in the evenings before bed to ensure they don't wake up with it.

    Thanks for the replies.
I do think its a little more than DOMS because the pain is fairly severe and I physically can't straighten my arm. It's like there's something stopping it.
And the muscle feels fairly solid compared to my left arm. There's very slight swelling too.
I'll ice it up tonight and try those stretches to see if it helps a bit.
    Cheers for that.

Thats DOMS, I couldnt stand for a weekend with calf doms once almost in tears with pain getting down the stairs. Muscle sore to touch, more sore at the insertion of the tendons, fine when in a non stretched position, slight swelling, Thats the feeling of your gainzzzz :D

Epsom slats bath, hot and cold compress alternating, fish oil as a anti-inflamatory and time.

A good few years ago, when I was young and foolish, and after a prolonged break from exercise, I over did it with bicep curls. I was left with severe DOMS that lasted for a couple of weeks, if not more. I was unable to straighten my arms beyond 90 degrees at first; the swelling was dramatic, and a little bit scary, to say the least; and the pain was unbearable at times. Slowly the swelling subsided and the range of motion in my arms began to return — but this took quite a long time, maybe 10 days or more. Perhaps you've done something similar, but not to the same extreme degree — your description of the condition you're in seems to match my own experience.

From those two stories then maybe it is just really bad DOMS. I hope it doesn't take too long to clear up!
I'll try all your advice and see how I get on.

Yeah, tendinitis doesn't just happen out of the blue. It creeps up gradually and you reach an 'oh **** this is actually a problem' tipping point.
